On June 3, the march of electric cars dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev took place successfully. Organized by the Association of Azerbaijan Automobile Dealers (AADA), the "caravan" consisting of the newest electric cars moved from the Heydar Aliyev Center along the route of the Gobustan state historical-artistic reserve, attracting the attention of the capital's residents and numerous tourists.
Natig Zarbaliyev, Chairman of the Board of AADA, announced the special event organized in the Gobustan Reserve and informed that the purpose of the action is to promote the legacy of Heydar Aliyev, at the same time to contribute to the state-important historical-artistic reserves, environmental protection, and education of young people in the spirit of patriotism. It is no coincidence that the winners of the online drawing competition on the topic "Eco-friendly car of the future" held among schoolchildren were planned to be announced at the final stage of the march.
"I think that celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev in the oldest human settlement on the territory of Azerbaijan and awarding talented children who describe the future at the same event has an extremely symbolic meaning." - N. Zarbaliyev noted.
It is known that in the "Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for socio-economic development" program, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, goals such as achieving a clean environment and becoming a country of "green growth" have been set. Within the framework of this program, the Association of Automobile Dealers of Azerbaijan (AADA) has already implemented a number of measures. Examples of these are the "Green Country 2022" environmental car rally on the Baku-Mingachevir route, and the "Avto Eco 2023" electric car exhibition. The first electric car rally in Azerbaijan was the brightest action in this series. It is interesting that the first moving electric car was driven by the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Mukhtar Babayev, and on this occasion, he was awarded with a special certificate of appreciation at the finish line. Later, the Minister of Ecology presented diplomas and awards to young artists who pictured ecological cars of the future. After the official part, a tea party and an excursion to the Gobustan reserve were organized for the guests.
While concluding the event, the AADA chairman thanked the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the Ministry of Culture, the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation, which supported the implementation of this project, as well as AADA's permanent partners, the "Mashin.Al" online car center and "MLK Tech Group”, which imports charging equipment for electric cars.
